January 7, 2021 - [Tasted Blind] This pours medium straw and features an immediately recognizable riesling nose. Notes of kerosene, peach, strawberry, candied lime peel, green jolly rancher, and rubber pool toy lift from the glass. The palate is off dry. I pegged it at 40 g/l which turned out to be extremely close. The finish is long on candied lime peel, jolly rancher and ripe peach. All in all we have a classic riesling, though it's origin isn't obvious. For the mosel I typically expect more slate and honey which I didn't get in a big way here, so there was debate about where this was from. Ultimately the Residual Sugar narrows this down to Germany.
