October 26, 2023 - Burgundy Grand Cru Dinner (The Morris, San Francisco): Pale. Bright citric aromas. Clean, lean, and delicate compared to the two 2014's that came before it but very fine. For earlier drinking.

September 27, 2023 - Cossonay, Switzerland , from restaurant list. Very nice nose with discreet reductive matchstick and flintstone notes which do not distract from florality. Very finely-boned structure and moderate power. This a super elegant village.

June 7, 2023 - Nick's 2008 Burgundies (Noizé, London): Obviously paler than its flightmate, more restrained on the nose. With swirling a smoky edgle unfurls, with apple and lemon. It is delicious, spicy and spry, even though it can't at this stage really compete with the Puligny.
A late sub for a sadly DOA 2008 Meursault, hence the youth.

  • Vinumming & Ahhing Likes this wine: 91 points

June 7, 2023 - Nick A's 2008 Burgundy Horizontal (Table B) (Noizé, London): Clearly more youthful that its flight mate. There's a laser focussed lime oil character to the nose with some tarragon notes to contrast. A big future ahead of this; very refined and together.
