Base 2018, disgorged 2022. Really, really good Côte de Blancs style: creamy and lemony with just a touch of oxidative notes.

Medium yellow. Distracting acetate and chemical aromas. A complete shame as there was a lot of wine underneath all this.

Light yellow. Wow, what a wine! Gorgeous glycerine texture, a kiss of oak, lemon fruit, and tremendous acidity. Still youthful and coiled, but obviously a towering Premier Cru.

Pale. Bright citric aromas. Clean, lean, and delicate compared to the two 2014's that came before it but very fine. For earlier drinking.

Light ruby. Pretty red fruit, subtle green notes, and light soil with mostly resolved structure. Very elegant Clos Vougeot.

Ruby throughout. More backward and restrained at first compared to the other 2 Clos Vougeots. Black fruited and a bit rustic and sweaty, but this came on beautifully over a few hours to show real sweetness and sap. Excellent and maybe even better than that with 5 more years of aging.

Light ruby. Similar weight as the 2002 Drouhin, which is to say quite elegant for this cru. Deep dull red fruit, a hint of green, and outstanding length and persistence. Wonderful and continued to expand in the glass.

Corked

Dull red. Lacy, fairly supple, light weight wine. Red berry fruit and just a bit of brambliness with fine supporting acidity. Lovely now, still some modest aging potential.

Full ruby. Ripe mixed fruit scents. Medium to full bodied, very lush, round feel. Incredible freshness and immediacy of the fruit with excellent acidity and a ton of remaining tannins. Impressive and built to last for another 20 years.
