Community Tasting Notes 2

June 20, 2022 - Heavy sediment, bottom 3/4 of cork was very soft. Decanted. Initially some barnyard nose, which was gone in 30 minutes. Requires at least a full hour, more open after two. Notes of earth, clay, minerals and dark fruit.

August 31, 2013 - Bright ruby colour turning brick red towards the rim. A very classic claret nose of medium intensity with principal notes of horse-stable, cigar box and herbs. Needs about an hour to really open up. While it's principal flavours are discreet fruit, a savoury note and ceddar, what sticks out is the perfect balance: medium body, medium plus acidity and still present and silky tannins are perfectly integrated. Not overly complex, but everything one can expect from a 20+ year claret.
