  A: Pale lemon-green
  N: Pear...quite a lot in fact. Lemon, grass, wet stone, bitterness of raw almond skin.

  I guessed Old world as the wet slate was very apparent. I guessed it was Pinot Gris from Alsace.
  
  Mistakes:
  There was no hint of the copper that one SOMETIMES sees with PG. I missed the white flowers and chamomile that everyone else picked up. However, the absence of that RS that i always detect in Alsatian PG should have told me that this was not a PG from Alsace. I didn't detect the white pepper even long into the tasting. I did, however, eventually get the fresh cut JALAPENO that one associated with Gruner after about 30 mins of it opening up in the glass.
