January 13, 2023 - Bourgogne 2002 horisontal Grand and 1. cru winetasting dinner (20 btls) (Nordsjaelland): Ruby color(!) - not expected. However on the palate a developed wine with notes of cherry, toffee and caramel. Develops positively in the glass. very. Medium+ tannins.

July 31, 2016 - Deep red color with some bricking. Aromas of cherry, sous bois, and some spice notes. Palate has meaty notes framing sweet cherry fruit that carries into an earthy finish. This seems to be in a transition phase between the fruit and tertiary taste elements. Tannins are well resolved and acids aren't dominant. Balance will carry this into a good maturity phase by my guess. Interesting now, but I think I'll enjoy it more in the future (or would have enjoyed it more as a young wine in the past). Drink or hold.

February 22, 2013 - 2010 Burgundies Blind (Lavandou): Poured blind. With the exception of the California ringer, this was by far the ripest wine of the night, and in fact not far off from the Cali. Of course, it was the only grand cru. Still, I couldn't get a read on anything here except the rich, ripe fruit and a touch of cinnamon on the nose.

January 22, 2011 - This wine has begun to open up and drinks well now although this wine should develop well for the next 5+ years. Deep, dark plum and cherry nose. Good balance with a nice vibrant acidity to it. Full bodied and long aftertaste.
