Community Tasting Notes 2

  • NoTrollingerPlease Does not like this wine: 90 points

    November 23, 2019 - Best bottle (@Private location): Glass: Josephinenhütte White/Universal
Popped and poured. Tasted blind. Clear, deep purple color, youthful. Clean, youthful nose. Lactic, jam, spices, vanilla, cooked cassis, dense, but also quite one-dimensional.
On the palate concentrated, hot, over extracted everything. Plum, rum pot, creamy, silky texture. Quite short. Hmm, why do they produce this monster? Ok, because they can. But do we need it??? Yes, it needs more time, but will this ever become a bit more elegant and balanced? I don’t know. Overpriced. 90-91(+?)

  • Romol Likes this wine: 93 points

October 25, 2017 - Decanted 2+ hours. Tasted blind. I had no idea where he wine is from. Very good wine and it might improve with more age. 93 pts. at the moment.
