  March 7, 2020 - La Paulée de New York Grand Tasting (Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers - New York NY): Walk around tasting. A significant step up over the first three wines. Rich black, red and blue berry aromas, slightly more restrained and austere flavors are still very well concentrated while balanced. A very successful 2017, better from 2027 forward.

Very sappy black fruit, much stiffer acidity than the 2 Chambolles, excellent grip, and a creamy old vine concentration that I did not find in many wines today. This was such an unexpected tour de force that I had to go back and try it from a second bottle. Sure enough, it was fabulous, mouth coating, and lively both times. Fantastic wine that will age beautifully and has real Grand Cru reserves from which to draw.

  January 9, 2019 - Tasted after 2017 C-M 1er Cru Les Charmes. Also quite rich and generous on the nose, red and dark berry fruit, spices, floral notes, crushed stones. On the palate a bit more restraint and tannic grip, good acidity, impressive depth and length. Vibrant, grippy finish. Very promising. 92-93+
