March 16, 2024 - Scored it a tad higher than I probably should because I’m all about the nose, and darn that nose be wilding.. all kinds of flowers and red fruits, has that crunchy natty twist to it but well under control. Improved with air. You already see what Charles is trying to do here from this vintage. The palate was fresh and juicy, with a touch of development; some orange zest, strawberries, sour cherries and pomegranate. Vs the Dujac RSV next to it, however, this rightfully lacked the volume, depth and length.

February 12, 2023 - drinks quite well out of the gate and quite similiar to the village nuit st george but with a bit more concentration and weight behind it. Profile of crunchy red fruit, elegant, zesty note that indicates stem. Acid nor tannins really stick out in a negative manner which i often find in most NSG wines. Drinks well now with possible upside in the next few years.

December 5, 2022 - Nose: strawberry, spices, rose petals, candy, rice cake, smoke
Notes: extreme satisfaction on the nose and an absolutely fantastic young wine. Honestly speaking this is beyond the potential of any NSG that can present, to me this is the ceiling of NSG. Charles Lacahux indeed is quite good at what he's doing. Another point worth noticing is the fact that this wine is incredibly ready for consumption, I once had Meo Camuzets 2017s which were supposed to be ready for consumption early but this Lachaux is at a different level. So elegant and so delicious now I can hardly imagine this is a 2017. In fact I find this confusing as I'm unable to determine the right drinking window for this wine. Nevertheless I'm certain that I've enjoyed the wine.

March 11, 2022 - Some Wine Tasted at the Zachys La Paulée Auction; 3/10/2022-3/11/2022 (Le Bernardin Prive - New York NY): Small pour, brief note. Delicately floral with a combination or black and red berries on nose and palate. Everything easy and well balanced, a 2017 that nicely expresses the vintage. Will be good young.

August 14, 2021 - J came over for a quickie drink.. Same note as before. Drank in Conterno Sensory. Just as good. Had more air time, so the stems were readily apparent.
