Community Tasting Notes 3

  • Pinot Peter Likes this wine:

February 19, 2024 - Opened tasted and put back in the fridge. Two days later this wine showed its great potential. Medium red, great acidity, fine tannic spine, lingering sweetness, a mouthful of dark fruit versus the intial raspberry flavours, great length. Needs time ...at least 10 years +. This will be a WOW wine!

March 7, 2020 - La Paulée de New York Grand Tasting (Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers - New York NY): Walk around tasting. Also giving a floral and spiced start with red and black berry aromas and flavors. Great balance and textural charm with good weight for now. I hope/ think this will put on weight in bottle, 91-93 point potential based on its eventual weight. Cellar until 2025 forward.

March 7, 2020 - La Paulée 2020 Grand Tasting of 2017 Burgundy (Pier 60, New York): Light color. Now we are back to a lacy, light weight with fine coating of soil that is much more typical for Gevrey Grand Crus. Light red fruit with a citric edge, relatively low acidity, and a long, gently fading finish. This is really well done in delicate fashion.
