April 19, 2024 - Tasted alongside a 2010 Méo Vosne Chaumes. Noticeably deeper ruby tint than that wine. No 2005 sullenness here-open black and blue fruit notes right out of the bottle with some soil but sparser green elements than the younger wine. Medium weight, sappy and rounder but retaining beautiful soil and excellent acidity. The volume of material allows the moderate remaining tannins to take a back seat. Early maturity, outstanding future as demonstrated by it gaining a lot of texture and complexity over several hours. I would have made a totally backward guess about which wine was from which vintage.

July 11, 2021 - Red fruits, complex wine with a lot of depth.
One of the best Burgundy’s I’ve ever tasted yet.
If you have the chance to drink this wine, don’t hesitate!

August 10, 2019 - This was the same bottle as previous note which I then had Coravined. I took the remaining half bottle with me to a restaurant (Ledbury). I always think wines that have been Coravin accessed do get a bit of air and a slow oxidation process starts. The sommelier pulled cork and left an hour at cellar temperature before serving. When he served it the nose was as great as any wine I have ever had pretty much (I would say 98 plus!). Macerated cherries, rose pedal, sweet spices in spades and the intensity of this was off the charts (it reminded me a bit of Comte Liger Belair NSG Cras 2010 which also is a knock-out)! I was stunned and the sommelier smiled and said he could smell it from where he was standing. The palate was great too but not quite with the nose. Still superb. I think if maybe a bit less air both would have gotten together as unbelievable pair. Way exceeded my expectations and given I had half bottle the week prior from the same bottle it just shows how much preparation can change the experience! Happy this was the first of a case and will be opening a bottles now-2030. Amazing wine. 95+
