December 17, 2021 - Nez de fruits noirs, canelle, touche de bois neuf mais quand même sans excès, un profil très NSG avec de la poigne, de la matière, beaucoup de vin la-dedans mais non dénué de classe et de finesse. Encore meilleur au jour 2. 91-92
Dark fruit, cinnamon, touch of new wood but without excess, generous fruit, bery terroir driven with a nice texture, some grip and power but not without class and elegance too, and even better on day 2. 91-92 -

October 2, 2019 - Loved the nose of cherry cola and earthen musk of glorious forest floor. Smelled like sunshine dancing on fresh leaves under ancient trees.
Had a touch of chalk.

March 13, 2019 - 2017 Bouchard and William Fevres (chicago, IL): The nose is a bit reticent, while also showing off a classic NSG-side with dark red cherries, raspberries, violets, earth tones, licorice, herbs, spice notes, and some tobacco. This isn’t rustic as much as it’s rough around the edges. The Medium/Full bodied feel has a restrained power behind it with tart, medium+ acidity and chewy, medium+ tannins. The structure is extremely youthful and this will clearly need time to balance out.

March 6, 2019 - 2017 Bouchard Tasting (Phoenix, AZ USA): Huge lineup of ‘17 Bouchard tonight, and this was the only one that struck me as bitter on the finish.
Under most circumstances I’d say it just needs time, but all the other wines showed so well that this just wouldn’t be worth recommending.
