July 30, 2023 - Drunk for dinner of Boeuf Bourgignon. 14.5%. Medium garnet. Raspberry, red cherries, blackcurrants and blackberries merging into spices, pepper and hints of chilli-chocolate. This is ageing very nicely and is probably at its peak. Tannins have softened but are still present and the fruit is still very much in evidence. The palate was a little weaker than the nose and it has moderate length. Overall, a very nice wine in a very good place.

March 11, 2017 - Good one. Tannins have largely vanished and drinks smoothly. Has some more years of life in it.

October 10, 2016 - Similar to previous notes. This wine has loads of tannic structure and will last at least 5 more years.

March 17, 2016 - Hazy notes from last night. This has really come together now. medium to full bodied, with a rustic yet refined plate. The grenache is dominant, with loads of garrigue, red fruits and tar notes. A great Vacqueyras. Lovely now, but will definitely last (A-).

February 1, 2016 - Solid vacqueyras that is ready to drink now...
