August 16, 2022 - How can this wine get more and more tannic as the years roll on? Yes, it’s Faiveley and it’s 2005, but you would expect a Premier Cru Chambolle to start to reveal its character including the fruit. When first opened there was a fairly attractive earthy character and obvious tannins. Unfortunately, the tannins turned bitter as the evening went on.

November 17, 2021 - Highly over-rated. OK, but too sharp and not enough fruit density. Definitely not worth the price. It had plenty of age when opened - 16 years. It will not get better. The fruit will subside further and the sharpness will increase further.

July 14, 2013 - I need to put a "Do not disturb" sign on this one for a while. It's firm and tight. A small sample left in the tasting glass for a few hours have a hint of what is to come and it will be lovely, sweetly fruity and very Chambolle. I can only hope it won't take too much longer.

August 13, 2011 - I was a little reluctant to open this, fearing it would be in a closed compact stage at age six, but not to worry. I'm sure it will become more expressive as the years go on, but it's a delightful drink right now. Bright cherry fruit on nose and palate, not too delicate, beautifully balanced. I don't think of Faiveley as being particularly strong in Chambolle, but this and the Fuees prove me wrong.

November 6, 2010 - Lovely, sweet, vanilla oaky, black and red cherry fruity, lovely now - but K is not impressed.
