  April 13, 2024 - Lunch at the Librije (Zwolle, NL): [Restaurant Purchase] No detailed notes. This had the typical PYCM signature with lovely reduction and gentle oak touch. The fruit had more stuffing than I expected for this village, although the difference with his Chenevottes is significant. Crowd pleaser

  March 24, 2024 - Second look at this wine and I’d revise my view a little. This was WOTN over a 16 Ramonet Boudriotte. It wasn’t close. It’s a highly reduced style without any overt sulfuric notes. It drank well from the PnP over several hours, and plainly, this is an outstanding wine and value. I found it very youthful, unevolved with sliced pear and pickled ginger. Crisp acidity for an 18 with good concentration. Every time I taste an 18 lately my impression of the vintage improves.

  December 25, 2023 - I love this wine. Beautiful citrus freshness initially with a well rounded finish. Some reduction on the palate. Medium length. Very well balanced.

  December 12, 2023 - Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey's village-level Saint-Aubin is sourced from the Le Banc lieu-dit in the northern portion of the AOC. Despite being unfined and unfiltered, it is a limpid, light golden Chardonnay with an intense aromatic array of Mandarin oranges, Bosc pears, white peaches, wet stones, lemon verbena and honeysuckle. Medium-bodied, crisply acidic and seamlessly alcoholic (13%), it delivers flavors mirroring the aromas and is impressively dense on the mid-palate. Fermentation and aging in 350-liter French oak barrels for 14 months (25% new) followed 3 months in stainless steel has resulted in a wine with the precise amount of wood, lending a complementary but not overwhelming accent to the flavor profile. Long and energetic on the finish, I blindly would have guessed this to be a top-flight Premier Cru from Chassagne-Montrachet. Decantation prior to tasting resulted in no reductive notes even from the very first sniff. Drink now-2033.

  November 2, 2023 - Very pale. Whiff of reduction, hint of musk on the otherwise muted nose. Medium bodied lovely texture with a little midpalate weight in evidence. Very good.
