December 31, 2020 - Excellent sparkling ribolla gialla made jointly by two wine makers on either side of italian-slovenian border in the collio. Bright citrus, extra brut —well suited to aperitif and fish. Tirage: 10/03/2016, Degorgement: 29/07/2020; dosage: 3 g/l.

July 11, 2019 - Another first for me: Ribolla Gialla. It makes a Prosecco like introduction of soft aromas - pear, red apple, lemon and white flowers. But the palette is much more austere. Bolder flavors of bitter green almonds and toasted bread, but no pre-baked autolyse - just that toasty note.
Rich and significantly more interesting than Glera. -
