April 27, 2024 - Quite restrained and taut. Slightly waxy and a little reductive on the nose - flint, smoke and wet stones but with a reasonably ripe fruit core, something a little tarte tatin esque (pastry/roasted fruit). Enough body to be considered substantial, but still fresh and lively on the palate with some chew and lots of lemony acidity. Very attractive, though I wouldn’t mind it being a touch more full throttle. I wonder if someone more experienced in top end Chard than I would suggest, though, that I’m not appreciating the nuance and restraint. Either way, lovely stuff.

June 29, 2023 - Classic Kumeū a river house style. Very French, very mineral. Tightly wound, fabulous structure, savoury oak handling. Camphor note add interview.
