Community Tasting Notes 20

December 5, 2022 - This is my last of six bottles. It's definitely time to drink now. Previous bottles required decanting. This bottle was ready upon opening. Dark purple juice. Very dense and chewy. Tannins are not overpowering. On day 1, it was very fruit forward with blackberries and boysenberries. There were subtle peppery and green pepper notes. Today, on day 2, the fruits are muted, giving way to a more savory palate. Peppery spice predominate, while the green pepper has given way to cocoa notes. For the sake of research, I'll save a bit for tomorrow. However, I suspect that the remainder should be imbibed promptly.

October 5, 2021 - Lots of red fruit! Balanced tannins. Pyrazines were a bit overwhelming on day one, but blended nicely into the background by day 3.

August 22, 2021 - Very nice red blend, good qpr. Very dark, almost opaque. Medium body, good acid, well-integrated tannins. Red fruits up front With hints of leather and chocolate.

January 26, 2021 - Surprisingly balanced and very polished fruit attack. More cherry and floral flavors with a nice acidic undertone. This one was much more polished than expected at this price point. The Ramey influence is showing already.
