Perhaps a whiff of white pepper. The palate is much finer-boned than the nose suggested, with blackberry flavours, low powdery tannins, medium acidity and a shortish finish. Has a slightly hollow feel to it somehow. I think a bit more time would help this, although the disconnect between the punchy intense nose and more dilute palate jars a little.

April 1, 2021 - dark fruits with restrained oak, balanced tannin, nice acidity. a bit of mint/herbs. overall balance is just great.
