November 4, 2022 - Rhone Birthday 2022; 11/4/2022-11/6/2022: Tasted immediately after opening with plans to consume the following night. Lovely floral character with a distinctive violet profile on the nose. Really surprising how expressive and delicate the nose is. Palate was dense, angular and somewhat standoffish. Heavy tannins. Not particularly enjoyable. Hopefully will improve on night 2.
Night 2 this was awesome with food. Fantastic nose but the palate was open giving some clues to the future with a black and violet core. Still quite tannic with a coarse mouthfeel.

March 20, 2022 - Very primary but with 4 hours of air it showed a lovely Northern Rhone perfume with delicious flavors of smoked meats, olive tapenade and tangy minerals. The texture is very fine and the finish is quite tannic with lifted notes of coal dust, violet flowers and dark spices. Really good potential here. 92+

August 10, 2021 - Blue and black fruits, flowers, pastilles and bacon fat. The palate has waves of black currant, blackberry, blueberry and lavender. A mineral streak runs through the palate. Good concentration and acidity. Very nice.
