February 23, 2023 - soft brown rim, and the wine follows. This bottle is declining, not much time left. Still a delicious glass, but drink up!

October 24, 2021 - beginning to show its age, light brown rim, mature, layered flavors. Aromas of dark fruits, soil, spices. Tannins have softened, but structured, well balanced and slow dancing on tongue. Well done.

April 29, 2017 - Popped and poured then followed for 4 hours. Medium ruby hue. Nose of anise, licorice, rock, violets, forest floor. Full of Nuits rocks, iron, and gravel on the palate but also revealing a delicious core of black raspberry and red plum fruit jetting across the tongue. Firm, structured tannin and moderately fresh acidity providing relief for all that structure. Longer finish of blue fruit, iron, and a bit more iron. Fun to drink and accessible, this wine gave pleasure for its unapologetic sense of origin.

October 19, 2016 - Drinking beautifully, in its drinking window.

March 10, 2015 - Wonderful nose with slight barnyard, violets and red fruit compote. Very balanced, great acidity and fine tannins. Quite flawless and finally in its drinking window.
