November 9, 2022 - Agree to the letter with Vinorsk's note below. Ran this back and forth through an aerating decanter an hour in advance. Paired with roast leg of lamb. This has lively acidity and tannins wrapped around a dense core. Another two bottles will get some cellar years to see where this goes.

January 19, 2022 - Dark ruby, appears more like cru Burgandy than Gamay. Rich, earthy, black cherries. Earthy palet. Linear acidity, very fine tannins and a slightly tart character. Great food wine and enough acidity to age further. Very nice. At $33 it is a Burgandy replacement, not just a substitute.
