March 16, 2024 - Med ruby. Pronounced. Scented and floral. Complex array of ripe red fruit and spices. Lifted and focused profile. Juicy and joyful. My freshest Vajra to date. High fine tannins. Long and spices finish. Outstanding.

2016 is the second vintage produced.

February 16, 2024 - Mixed Italians (Terra Rossa, N1): Floral, vegetal, lifted - quite pungent (in a good way!). Really lovely. I'm told it's geranium I'm smelling - there's also spice, red fruit and a hint of tar. Young, with wonderful concentration and clarity: with food it's beautiful now, surprisingly accessible, but realistically a few years will do this a world of good.

December 31, 2023 - Pop and pour. Gorgeously, instantly aromatic. Super youthful ruby, nuanced and detailed. Truffles, cherry juice, with awesome focus and drive. Classic tar and roses yet unlike most this is so fresh. Amazing lift with our Japanese a5 Waygu ribeye. Smooth and delicately soft texture. Vajras wines never seem to go through a dumb phase. Long and even finish.

September 22, 2023 - Really need to stop drinking these, as they need time. Delish tonight, but tight and tense, not so giving. Will take a note tomorrow.

May 1, 2023 - Still very youthful. Vivid cherry fruit coupled with light florals. Direct and intense, good minerally structure. Beautiful perfume and balance. Needs time.
