March 6, 2024 - when first opening the bottle there was a little fizzines maybe secondary fermentation? after sitting in the glass for 15 mins that all went away.
Lighter bodied than i remember from 2 years ago. very nice though with notes of indian spice, earthiness, black fruits a little funk, pepper. Seemed to indicate Syrah to blimd tasters.

June 8, 2023 - TN: Old Cabernet and Young Mourevdre (plus two Rieslings): First of four young Mourvedre wines served side by side, and this was the brightest, with some cranberry edges to the deep red fruit, and also a high toned spiciness. The more air it got the better. I still have a few bottles, and will try to let them rest a while.

December 2, 2022 - I tried one of these shortly after release, and it was so tight I decided to let the rest sit for a while. My patience lapsed, and so I did a splash decant to get some air into the wine. That worked wonders, as 30 minutes post decant it was all bright fruit, floral and deep earthy undertones. Really delicious, and made me want to immediately open another one. The only thing that decanting did not resolve was a firm tannic bite on the finish, but the depth of fruit was more than enough to allow some medium term cellaring.

November 16, 2022 - Opened by Blue Oval at an offline and tried next to the 2011 Tempier Bandol La Migoua. I liked this bottle better. This property was recently purchased by Pax Mahle and others and will go into their estate wines. Deep purple color. Floral nose. Rather fruity and forward with leather and black fruit notes. 93 points.

November 11, 2022 - I did not spend nearly enough time with this and my notes were dwindling by this point, but I remember being smitten with this. Abundant black fruit with a beguiling perfumey/floral quality. Apparently I was too busy enjoying it to jot down anything else. Lovely. Courtesy of blueoval.

November 10, 2022 - From memory: ripe, spicy, ample acids, quite savory and ever-so-slightly feral. Delicious! Fantastic CA meets Southern France wine!

    Accompanied porter-braised short ribs. Terrific.

Had a glass at lunch, finished the bottle with dinner. No major changes when introduced to air.

August 18, 2022 - Remains terrific. Young but lots to enjoy here. Bright vibrant acidity that has a bit of an edge. There dark red fruits mixed with sage, and meaty spice notes along with white pepper. Fine tannins come out on the lengthy finish. Great stuff. Would have a bright future if I didn’t keep drinking then.

August 6, 2022 - Explosion is the word. Bouquet, flavor. Slightly effervescent as well.

April 17, 2022 - Explosive nose with crackling pepper and spice notes. Palate is fine, narrow, quite fresh but nice mix of red and blue fruits. Long peppery finish.

November 28, 2021 - Wow. Very much alive. Explosive green pepper spice and meaty notes on the nose. The fruit is bristling with spice and nuance—wonderful complexity here. Fresh and vibrant and complex. Can’t ask for much more in a young wine.
