  • Eric Becker Does not like this wine: 84 points

January 26, 2020 - A special bottling called "selection anniversaire" in honor of german wine-merchant Spies in Losheim.
My second bottle of this wine. The first about one year ago was seriously flawed. This time the wine is sound, however providing no pleasure. Way too much oak obscures a rather rustic fruit and makes for a drying, sour finish. I doubt that the wine can improve from here. Too much brown in the colour already and too much oak.
