August 26, 2023 - Deep purple-red color. Lovely nose of red fruits, floral notes and spice. Nicely balanced and drinking well today, though it has the all the components for continued cellaring. Could be mistaken for a Beaune premier cru and in somes ways more pinot in character than gamay. Delicious with the steak au poivre, but would be enjoyable with a variety of summer foods. I'm a huge fan of Beaujolais, but this was my first experience with the wines of Lafarge-Vial and it lived up to its reputation - serious cru Beaujolais for sure.

Ridiculously good QPR.
Nose of red fruit, anise, spice box and a touch of lavender. Palate has less structure And is quite linear but is actually quite refreshing and easy going. Finish kicks into high gear with mineral-laced red fruit notes and a very exciting length. Delicious today -

March 11, 2020 - Visite au domaine Lafarge (mars 2020) (Au domaine): Comme d'habitude, celui-ci est plus tannique. Très minéral, salin, avec une belle ampleur, c'est un excellent vin qui nécessitera une moyenne garde. Très bon, bien que moins ouvert que les autres. 91+ pts
