May 23, 2023 - At first, i thought this displayed a very slight note of oxidation, lanolin and wool, but there was also undeniable tension and a cool nutty zest to it too. And then it simply got better and fresher the longer it was open. I returned to the last third 48 hours after I'd opened it and it was genuinely superb - immediately-buy-some-more good. touches of trad chablis like nuttiness, fab tension and grip, minerality and a limey freshness at core.

March 27, 2023 - Stony. Slightly nutty and perhaps a touch oxidized. Not bad but not thrilling either.

February 27, 2023 - Light hay in color, nose is a bit backward, more crushed rocks than fruit; this is a beautiful wine, with a rich burst of mineral laden fruit on entry, touches of lime rind, turning more and more mineral as it unfolds, finishing with a little flourish of lightly honeyed fruit. Interesting, tasty, delicious.

February 17, 2023 - PnP. Light gold. Citrus nose. Nice roundness in the mid-palate and good acidity on the finish. This is young vines Carricante and lacks the depth of the Etna version, but still a nice aperitif.

September 28, 2022 - Picked this up on Winebid after Eric Asimov of the NYT did a story on them. Glad I did as it is most interesting.
Silky viscosity, light in body, real lemony essence, too much so for long term enjoyment for me. Not real acidic, the 12% abv is nice for a change.
This is pretty much a one note white, that is, lemony. If you like that, this is definitely the wine for you. A very high quality wine.
Not one I'd buy again, but really enjoyed the experience. Drink now or over the next year or two.
