May 5, 2024 - A bit annoyed about this wine, i need to admit. It had virtually no nose. So nothing to start the experience with. As it might have been too cold, we took it out of the cooler and waited a bit. To no avail, as it stayed utterly muted. On the palate it showed a nice glycerin texture and a nice balance, w crisp acidity underpinning the rounded mouthfeel. It showed hints of tropical fruits, but overall stayed muted also on the palate. So started to analyze and guess, retrying and getting after the sense of the wine.

The sommelier did a brilliant sales job pointing us to the bottle, but i did regret not having stayed with the st aubin I initially put my eyes on.

July 15, 2023 - Light yellow. Vanilla and ripe citrus on the nose. Just a glorious round, glycerine texture without showing too much wood. More generous and less angular than young Clos de Guichaux can be. After being cooled a bit on a very warm evening, more of the typical acidity became obvious, even in this warmer vintage. Terrific bottle with even more potential going forward.

June 10, 2023 - The bouquet is a bit reticent, but shows yellow fruits. On the palate tropical fruits like pineapple. Beautiful acidity and length.

January 16, 2023 - I liked this a lot, really beautiful and quite unique, although for the price I think it had a couple of small drawbacks for my palate. 1: it was just super, super shy, a very wispy nose with some sort of pretty orchard fruits and minerals, maaaaybe some vanilla or floral tones, but pretty difficult to pinpoint anything- and 2. You know how sometimes you describe that extra crisp white wine acidity as "salinity"? Here it was wild, almost out of control- by far the "saltiest"-appearing wine I've had, almost tasting like seawater on the finish. Nearly Vin Jaune levels of salty flavor. If you're into that, you'll love this. How other commenters are describing this as a ripe/big/oaky etc wine is beyond me- for me this was pretty much all minerality with only touches of fruit on the nose. Cool wine, but incredibly demanding and austere in my opinion. I could see it aging in interesting ways.
