April 6, 2011 - NORTHERN RHÔNE SYRAHS (Vin, Vino, Wine Palo Alto CA): More perfume flavors, more delicate than previous. Good

April 5, 2011 - Northern Rhone Syrahs (Vin Vino Wine, Palo Alto, CA): Black licorice and cola on the nose. Red fruited palate, medium body with fine-grained tannins. Well balanced and tasty.

May 11, 2010 - I have to admit I saw the word dusty and Road dust used to describe this wine but I haven't used that word until now. This wine is not a bad value but it has heavy Earth tones, not a robust fruit, with lead and earth on the palatte and a very lackluster finish.

August 24, 2009 - spicy pepper and road dust nose, high toned fruit and acidity that is higher than average for a C-H. The mouth feel made the wine more drinkable, being clean and crisp all the way through. Mid weight wine that works well as a component of a meal, less so as a "cocktail wine". The wine expanded in size the longer it sat out. After 2 hours, it was quite a palate filler. So, for me a winner and a good QPR.

floral nose, along with some dark fruits...agree with other notes that its earthy and dusty, along with some leather notes, crushed berries and great acid
