Community Tasting Notes 5

May 11, 2009 - Great Value Rheinhessen Kabinett, 8.5% ABV but isn't as sweet tasting as that indicates. Nice effort by Terry and Walter on packaging. What does it take to make Riesling fly off the shelves in the US ? I'll put this kabinett against Poet's Leap or Eroica any day, and have some money left to get something to eat.

November 5, 2008 - Good balance, good QPR

October 4, 2008 - Quite average on the first couple of nights, this wine really shined on the third night as it integrated very well. Lively acidity, big white fruit, perfect amount of sweetness. Good everyday riesling. Very good value.

June 13, 2008 - What an incredible perfume. Cured lemon peel, peachy. Very fresh attack, touch of minearls. Willie did a good job.
