August 13, 2017 - Great example of how well Ribera del Duero can age. Full on fruit profile has taken a back seat to secondary flavours and aromas. Just enough dark fruit to complement the leather and woody spice notes. I have found a bretty/leather note to some vintages and bought the wine because I like this slightly 'rustic' style. This was a very clean example. I stopped buying from this winery because of rude and corporate treatment at the bodega some years ago. I never bought another bottle.

March 21, 2016 - Weekly tasting group #207; Spain: Rioja vs Ribera del Duero plus one great pirate! (@ RW): The bouquet is not very expressive, but shows red and dark forest fruits. On the palate ripe dark berries and cherries, vanilla, oak, coconut, good acidity and round tannin with still a pleasant bite. Harmonious and mature wine. Ready now, but it will probably be still a pleasure 2+ years from now.

March 3, 2013 - De lembrança.. Cor rubi/ granada concentrado.

November 6, 2011 - Smokey nose with cassis. Soft tannins provide for an elegant finish, although bramble fruit and chocolate is somewhat understated.

    Ripe fruit, soft tannins.
