February 15, 2024 - Great Northern Rhone, albeit a bit too young, with black fruit, bacon, smoke

September 18, 2023 - Really fantastic, prototypical Northern Rhone, not SUPER standout for the price but had everything I wanted. That special nose with dark, deep blue/purple fruit combined with high-toned umami, sort of peppery cured meat and a touch of olive brine combined with blackberry pie and accents of baking spices/black licorice. So elegant and refined on the palate; not a super-dynamo, just really gorgeous spiced purple fruit, velvet tannins, and a pop of salty acidity to wash it down. Would really be unreal with age, once it starts to open even more.

December 4, 2022 - Lush dark fruits and black pepper with a long velvety finish. Very drinkable now for a ‘19.

September 11, 2022 - Nose: meaty with a hint of fresh leather, deep and dark cherry skins. Palate: Ripe cherries, chunky tannins that prickle a bit, high acid; hint of sweetness on the finish that plays off the thick tannins. Very nice.

May 24, 2022 - Eðalklúbburinn rúllar um Rónardalinn.; 5/23/2022-5/27/2022 (10 vínhús og ein súkkulaðigerð heimsótt í norður og suður Rónardalnum.): Meðaldökkur litur. Í nefinu: Kirsuber, súrmjólk, bláber, jarðartónar. Sömuleiðis kirsuber á tungu. Og svo mynta, kryddjurtir. Tannín mjög þægileg. Mikill ferskleiki.
