  March 12, 2023 - Opening of greek honey yogurt and hints of oak as well. Over time, fruits showing, most prominently melon, though also quite a bit of stone fruit. Maddy specifically getting nectarine. As for the identity of the melon, there was spirited debate between cantaloupe and honeydew, though after much discussion and even a vote, cantaloupe came out ahead. Medium to medium-light body, mid-palate acidity — though brief and juxtaposed against the roundness of the wine. After an hour and a half open, candied lemon notes starting to come through. If blinded, would have SURELY called it Hermitage blanc, maybe an 08 or 09. @ Francie

  March 12, 2011 - Yes, there's grapefruit and lemons and flowers but they don't really come together all that well and the taste in the mouth is all those flavors competing for your attention in a grating kind of way rather than blending together. Less than the sum of it's parts.

  October 17, 2007 - 2005 Burgundy Test Drive #1 (Cookshop): Very primary juicy scents, like smelling a bowl of grapes. But on the palate, a totally complete wine with good acidic cut, some chalkiness spackling the soft texture, and no flavor of oak except for a hint on the finish.
