February 11, 2024 - Lightly reduced/matchstick especially when first opened. Lots of under-ripe pear, green apple, light citrus, hints of herbaceousness, wet stones and saline on the nose and palate. Bright acidity. Long finish. Really tasty!

March 22, 2023 - I am not sure I get this wine. Started nice but crisp. Then turned more astringent. Maybe it was too cold or old. Have a other that I will try soon

January 18, 2023 - Lighter, bright straw green; the nose shows lots of character based on reduction on day 1, saltiness quite evident, very Raj & Sashi-like; day 2 this has settled into its own, still a strong mineral saltiness but less drastic and more rounded, some green apple, restrained fruit and a pleasant leanness, lemon zest, a very cool-climate inspired Chardonnay not too far from what you'd want from Chablis, a little leesiness and creme fraiche on the palate adds some weight and richness; tasty and a great accompaniment for a lot of different foods.

November 26, 2022 - This is quite wonderful. Light gold color. On the nose, salt, fennel, baking spice, lemon zest, bell pepper. On the palate, a sharp entry that fades into a wider experience with just a touch of butter. Sweetened grapefruit, lemon, lime, salt. A nice sparkle without being in your face. Will get again.

May 26, 2022 - Morgen Long Chards: Citrus zest and chalk on the nose with an underlying rich base note and delicate floral notes interlaced. Lime zest, crushed chalk, geranium, lily of the valley. On the palate, medium bodied, tensile and high acid. Linear attack, then broadens at the mid-palate with chalky soil tones. Does fade a bit on the finish, but over time seemed to fill out some. Quite enjoyable and my favourite of the three Morgen Long chardonnays opened.
