Community Tasting Notes 5

  • Rich S Likes this wine: 90 points

March 26, 2024 - Popped and poured. Medium garnet color, slightly cloudy. Nose of ripe cherry and pomegranate with some earthy, forest floor and herbal notes mixed in. Slightly exotic smelling. Similar flavors on the palate with juicy, tart red fruits and fresh acidity with medium tannin and body. Easy drinking on its own but paired well with pizza. Would rebuy for the price.

September 9, 2023 - Deep red. Slightly hazy? Smooth and dense mouthfeel. Strawberries. Violets. Subtle tannins. A few earthy notes. Banana? Lasting flavour.

July 29, 2022 - Medium garnet color, slightly cloudy. Nose of tart red cherry, pomegranate, cranberry, violet and some earthy funk. Similar flavors on the palate with a juicy mouthfeel and tart red fruit profile with some more of those earthy, feral flavors. Medium+ acid, medium tannin and body. Finishes a touch sharp but overall quite good, especially for the price.

June 6, 2022 - Bottle 1264g. Moderately intense aromas, cranberry foremost, other red fruit, violets, "freshness". Dry, with elevated, prickly acidity, medium-bodied, just a little grippy tannin, 13°. Red and darker fruit flavors that bloom and crescendo into a long finish that also shows savory and saline elements. Love this producer.

February 1, 2022 - Bottle ~ 1290g. Aromas of elevated intensity, wild berries and wildflowers. Dry, with elevated juicy acidity, lacey drying tannins, medium-bodied, 13°. Gorgeous, persistent fruit flavors. Lovely.
