February 20, 2024 - Cola, black fruit, brooding still. Silky mouthfeel with a bit of wet dog. Slightly bitter and dry finish. 2nd pour, redder fruit and more energised with sweeter fruit right through the finish.

April 10, 2023 - Burgundy night at IT Paragon: Dark, seductive red fruit with a tannic backbone. Showing some development but drinking so youthfully so I thought this was nailed on to be a 2005. Impressively built but not quite ready for primetime.

February 10, 2023 - I've opened two of these and I shouldn't have. Still so, so young. Tastes like a '12. All the material is here but it needs another decade.

November 23, 2021 - Drank over 2 nights - dare I say that it is finally opening up?

July 10, 2021 - 7 years since I last tasted one of these - not sure it has budged much!
Very deep ripe black cherry nose with earth, minerals and mint. With time a lovely mushroomy secondary note. Full mid-palate and lots of intensity and energy, with a long and grippy finish.
After many years of being dumb this has become really terrific but it seems to be on a plateau and will only get better for a while.
