January 19, 2016 - Monthly Tuesday group #005: Barolo at least 5 years old (By JdB): The bouquet is a bit floral with herbs and sweet spices, some licorice, tea, espresso and a bit rustic. On the palate chocolate, sweet spices, sweet licorice and some raisins. A slight touch of sweetness, good acidity and round tannin with a soft bite. Beautiful wine and fully mature now. No real hurry, but it will not really improve anymore.

February 4, 2015 - Monthly Tasting Group EEE #035; A mixed set of white, red and sweet (@ My place): In the bouquet ripe forest fruits, strawberry, sweet spices like cinnamon, sweet licorice and some autumn impressions. Same on the palate. Juicy fruits, soft acidity and tannin. Nice wine. Ready now. Not for very long storage.

August 26, 2013 - Weekly tasting group #085; A mixed set: white, red and sweet. (@ My place): Strawberry and raspberry in the bouquet. On the palate a much more complete wine with some earthiness, a touch of chocolate, sweetness, and firm acidity, tannin and bitterness. Although not extremely complex a very pleasant wine.

October 22, 2010 - Thought so little after my last one I used half of this to cook with. Red cherry fruit. Pretty nose. Better integrated, with surprisingly classical elements. Firm tannin. Enjoyable bottle.

September 15, 2010 - Took 20-30m in the glass to come around ... noticeable tannin, but not too rough; couldn't get the thought of raspberry/strawberry bubble gum out of my head. Had it with pork tenderloin and savory squash. At $22 for a Barolo, was very pleased.
