October 10, 2023 - Consistent with my previous notes from May. Black fruit, fine but present tannins, and just a bit of acidity in a medium body. A very satisfying wine any night of the week and just the right match for tonight's meatloaf and roasted potatoes.

September 30, 2023 - Moderate oak and dark fruit, powerful tannin but still approachable. Picked very ripe with a large water addition in the fermenter to bring sugars down to a fermentable level. Typical for an American cabernet but when the producer goes overboard it leads to a hollow feeling mid palate. That is happening here. This is decent, but a bit too formulaic. Let's not talk about QPR
