December 2, 2023 - Smells like sweet auslese. Very fresh on the palate. Wine was just fabulous, it kept changing with every sip and paired with everything we tried. Truly special wine, not sure could this been even better had this became the initially planned GG.

March 11, 2022 - A bit of sponti and reduction on the nose at the start. Herbal and savoury with dried mango powder, ground Cumin seeds, ajwain. Hints of caramelised nectarines. I know it's suppose to be an off-dry wine, but on the palate it feels almost dry, coming across on the palate as more fruity juiciness rather than sweetness. The extended lees contact adds quite a bit of richness and texture on the palate, to the point where at times it feels like the wine leans stylistically more towards Chablis than the Mosel. After about an hour of tasting, I put the remainder of the wine back in the bottle and in the cellar to sample it the following day. What a difference it made. Broad, incisive and nuanced. The fruit is a lot more prominent and precise, with the sponti and reduction having blown off. AP 12 21. Drink 2027-2042+

June 8, 2021 - A curiosity. Meant to be GG but didn’t ferment dry enough. Has a rich nose, tropical and like a rioe spatlese. It’s quite big and rich on the attack but finishes crisp and dry.
