December 22, 2022 - Very solid Tawny, color is, of course, tawny, with a nose of orange peel. Nice melded flavors of butterscotch, caramel, figs, raisins, and toasted almond. Paired well with a strong cheddar and a Point Reyes Blue.

October 10, 2022 - Bottled in 2003. Color of Coca-Cola; strong nutty nose along with heat, hint of caramel as well; lively acidic body with flavors of orange peel, caramel, cashew. Rather short finish. Good, not great.

November 9, 2017 - At restaurant. Rich caramel tawny nose. Rich caramel deep yet lively. Long finish with only mild heat. Very nice.

November 21, 2014 - This is not the Otima 20 year. Lots of toffee and nutty. Acid driven aromas. very acid driven on the palate too. wow. great balance. has more than just a little mossiness on the nose.

April 12, 2013 - This puts me in mind of French toast of raisin bread topped with a light grade maple syrup. There is a orange peel twang which enlivens it a bit, with fig preserves and caramel. It is quaffable enough, but not a strong 20 yr tawny. Bottled in 2008.
