July 12, 2021 - Casually tasting eight samples with my wife (double-blind): Sample 7 of 8, prepared by a friend and dropped off at my door spontaneously, tasted double-blind. Dark ruby, almost purple colour. Some reduction on the nose. Red and dark fruit, spices, herbaceous notes, and smoke (smoked mackerel?), with lively acidity, well-integrated tannin and good length. Medium-bodied, and well-balanced, with solid concentration, and average complexity. Quite drinkable despite of its apparent youth.
