  January 21, 2024 - Beautifull color. Quite delicate amormas of rosehip, rooibos tea, roses, dried goji berries and a certain herbal spiciness that fascinates. On the palate quite some tannic grip, moderate alcohol and moderate acidity that frame the aromas really well. Very well balanced. Outstanding. Drank well over two days, on day two more prominence to the tea element.

  December 30, 2023 - The almost caramelized orange color deserves mention right out of the gate.
  Smells like the hardness of an orange wine while still being redolent of a faint sweet softness. There is also something else that is hard to pin down, an ethereal herbal and citrusy note that moves in and out of focus.
  Firm and dry texturally, the tannic structure brushes the lips and the edge of the juice carries on like tea.
  That said, there is a real elegance to the presentation of flavors. Astringent upfront, there’s a pickled vegetal note, and a dry herbal note intertwined with a grilled orange fruity note and it all goes on for what must be a minute or two. The tiniest bit of oxidized nuttiness comes through on the finish after a couple of hours.
  A fun orange wine with good complexity and persistence.
  Definitely drinkable now and feels like it would hold and evolve for at least a handful of years.

  June 21, 2023 - 2012 Barolo / Barbaresco (Terra Rossa N1): For me this took a bit of time to open and I was desperate for it to do so as I know what a fun wine this can be.
  Patience was duly rewarded with lovely notes of salty blood orange, tangerine and wild strawberry. Lovely tanginess (is that a word) on the palate. Walks a nice line as Nick says skews more to being a very light red than a white. I'd like to spend more time with the next bottle.

  June 21, 2023 - 2012 Barolo/Barbaresco (Terra Rossa): Pinot Grigio left with its skins for 8 months in amphorae; the resulting salmon-pink wine is a clear success. It had quite a heady nose, spicy and seductive with a resemblance to Irn Bru, but really shone when tasted: glorious flavours of tomato, peach and watermelon, refreshing and piquant. Didn't really drink like a stereotypical orange wine, more like an extremely light red... which is a style I love. Delicious!
