July 3, 2023 - Vacation wines; 6/27/2023-7/6/2023 (Hotel Sonne, Partschins, IT): Glass: Spiegelau Burgundy
Popped and poured, drunk over two days. Diam 5 closure.
Clear, deep, inky purple-ruby color. Interesting, youthful, funky and very fruity nose. On the palate a fruit bomb in its best sense, lots of cherries, spices, fine tannin. Creamy texture, good balance. Medium length. Drinks nicely now and within the next 2-5 years. 89

April 26, 2023 - I was surprised by the quality of this wine; it's still pretty young and a bit astringent, but it will probably turn into a great wine. Color is deep purple, the nose is cherry and black fruit, medium body, good acidity and nice finish. The oak is very subtle, the wine is well balanced with light, refreshing acidity. I say 92 potential in a couple of years, but it doesn't have the stricture to hold up long term.

    November 7, 2022 - Double decanted, 13,5% Alc., beautiful bright violet-red-dark color.

Nose: Subdued and diffuse forest berry fruit.

Palate: Lots of cherry, good balance, juicy, quite velvety, sweetness, charming and nice to drink. Gastronomique, a wine that also scores with less experienced drinkers.
