Community Tasting Notes 12

April 23, 2010 - Wine Marketing (Conference room): Medium bodied on the palate. Great fruit. Apples. Nice. Really clean.
Tried later on and not as excited about it. The riesling component came out, and also a little sweetness.

March 21, 2010 - I like this Bordeaux-meets-Alsace, Australian white blend. Clear, young, yellow color. Clean, medium-intensity nose: tropical flowers, pear, some lime, sweet barn straw, and cool flint. Palate off-dry with brief, light-honeyed front (riesling) on a bona fide medium body (semillon), that moves quickly to refreshing acidity (sauvignon blanc) and a full complexity of flavors reflecting the nose. A wink of effervescence. Medium finish. Excellent balance. Think: somewhat dry (kabinett trocken) riesling -- as hint of sweetness will be disappointing if one expects a bone-dry, citric sauvignon blanc.

March 3, 2010 - Crisp, tropical and refreshing. Quite dry. High acidity - good match for spicier foods.

November 13, 2009 - semillon grape is now a little more dominant, which is good. a little vivacity has gone.

November 10, 2009 - hint of...petrol at start with strong riesling taste at finish. too much riesling for us.
