April 13, 2024 - Lunch at the Librije (Zwolle, NL): [Restaurant purchase] No detailed note. Needed 15 min in carafe to open up. Felt like a combination of both reduction and oxidation. Quite ripe, but with piercing acidity

March 7, 2024 - Still young. A mix of straightness, acidity, with some jammed apples. Give it 2-3 years. Nice wine.

August 24, 2023 - great nose - apricot, cream, butterscotch and even a hint of mint
mouth - agree this is quite ripe, lots of stone fruit, and while it has good acidity, its really the ripe perhaps even surripe pit fruit that leaves the lasting impression on the palate. a piece of parmigiano-reggiano really brought this into its element.

June 23, 2023 - Ganevat at Chedi: This was clearly the ripest out of all the wines tonight, with a rounder texture with obvious honey notes. A little more developed than I expected for its age, but like the other wines this got much better with air. Enjoyable but the next two were a step up in terms of intensity and depth.

June 19, 2023 - A bit more reductive than I'm used to with Ganevat but my general thought was that this was excellent for the price as its a lower priced domaine offering. I'll probably hold my other bottles for another 1-2 years though. This is my first 2018 Jura white so perhaps it’s a facet of the vintage but there was enough minerality and fruit to balance the weight of the wine. Serve cold.

April 29, 2023 - On the riper side but plenty of minerality to keep this in balance.

January 30, 2023 - On a wine list that was a minefield of natty Burgs, this was a delight. Intense citrus with a somewhat oily texture and sneaky depth, this went well with food. Interesting and enjoyable.

December 7, 2022 - A business dinner (Brasserie van Baerle, Amsterdam, NL): Steely acidity, lemon juice, floral lift, warmth from the wood, lovely salinity, excellent flavours, bruised apple, purity and length. Stunning wine, deliious now, good future.
