  February 17, 2021 - very consistent to the last time i tasted it. seductive nose and that classic reduction is intoxicating to me. the petro. But the palate same as last time is a bit lighter but still an excellent wine to enjoy.

  An epic wine. I had d'Auvenay for the first time one week ago and the nose is so similar after roasted popcorn that I could recognize. I guessed younger and Went for the Chardonnay (the other was Aligote). Fresh, delicate, no oak at all in the palate, not ending finish. Maybe at his peak. 98

  December 15, 2017 - Strong matchstick nose, some petrol, finish is lighter than the massive nose. After 15 minutes palate fills out, very serious juice.
  
  Served blind, most were guessing various grand cru vineyards, though appelation was difficult to tell. The reveal had jaws on the floor. Ah D'Auvenay...
