April 1, 2024 - Even though young, this is showing very well! Straw color. A beautiful nose of white peach, orange zest and some white florals. On the palate this is special with two phases. Phase one starts with high acidity, lemon, oranges, white peach, jasmine flowers. Very fresh! Phase two come after the acidity fades and is replaced by a fatty, waxy mouthfeel with honey and butter. Truly fascinating and such a long finish. I counted over 45sec. With the acidity this has I'd be really curious to give it another taste in 10+ years. Great stuff!

August 13, 2023 - A true beauty this sleek, fresh & fruit-forward white Hermitage (13% ABV, 90% Marsanne 10% Roussanne) f Paul Jaboulet Ainé - admittedly not my go-to NR producer - in particular not on the reddish side. Pale golden. The wine opens on a deep peach-driven note, a fine & sultry interplay of slight tropical notes (melon, mango) & citrus, flinty scents emerging throughout bottle. Fairly intense, medium-bodied palate, fine, layered concentration (malo, sur lie), flowing acidity, vibrant, fresh & peach on the long finish.

July 22, 2023 - There are some very good reviews of this wine on site, which I found I enjoyed immensely (the wine and the reviews).

I believe this is a blend of about 70% Marsanne and 30% Roussanne.

It is in the early days of what promises to be a wonderful journey. Right now it is somewhat muted, but I enjoy it as a tight, beautifully made white that has great cut. It will blossom as the years go by- I suspect at 10 years it will be utterly magnificent and will have jumped a step from 'Excellent' to 'Outstanding'.

QPR in Oz is not great, especially when Chateau Tahbilk has Marsanne vines that are a century old and retails two wonderful Marsanne wines for about $20 AUD and $45 AUD respectively. One should also not forget the tradition at Yeringberg, more pricey, but also arguably more gooderer.

June 28, 2023 - It’s a nice wine, notable for the fresh, citrusy acidic balance, which is often lacking in Rhône whites. The tradeoff is that it is a wine of modest proportions. Very floral, like chamomile. I think it drinks nicely now.

June 16, 2023 - Nice and fresh at this stage and probably better so as the freshness carries the wine well and let’s the heavier texture of the rhone white alt catch up that adds a nice contrast , good wine and solid 91
