February 23, 2024 - Lovely Sangiovese nose with red cherries, strawberry and some pine forest. Well balanced with elegant red fruit and medium acidity. A wine that should pair well with almost anything.

February 1, 2024 - (Im Restaurant getrunken, daher kurz.)
In der Nase sehr neuholzgeprägt mit viel (gutem) Zimt, allerdings steht das dem Wein sehr gut und ist auch bereits gut eingebunden. Außerdem mit viel Kirsche, Tabakblatt, verhaltener Kräuter und auch etwas Leder. Der Wein wirkt bereits sehr offen und oxidativ ausgebaut.
Am Gaumen ist das ebenso üppig und aromenvoll, auch hier sehr offen und einladend. Trotzdem saftig und mit gutem Zug. Im Vergleich mit dem parallel getrunkenen Brunello von Banfi nicht mit ganz so hoher Spannung, allerdings trotzdem spannend.
Ebenfalls im Vergleich auch nicht ganz so lang und mit sicher weniger Potential, trotzdem sehr schöner, eigenständiger Wein. -

December 25, 2023 - 25.12.2023 - Wife’s bday & Xmas celebratory lunch at home. I enjoyed the 2018 more than this. Too young and took too long to open up. Great fruit but felt the oak is still too heavy. Great structure & layers with still firm & chewy tannins. Should give this another 2-3 yrs
