February 27, 2022 - Mid to deep gold, the lifted bouquet reveals light white flowers, daffodils, and lime with apple blossom. Penetrating and complex, there is gardenia, river stones and wet slate alongside.
A lifted entry onto the palate, there is so much blossom! This is joined by exotic notes of passion fruit and tropical fruit cocktail, all with a lime infusion with almond paste. Whilst it shows some age with that marzipan twist, the wine is elegant and fleshy with a mineral-slate grip, whilst the mid-palate is filled out with sliced apples covered with a dollop of confectioners custard. A vibrant acidity, there is a ‘light’ sweetness all nicely balanced out whilst the long lingering finishes is dotted with satsuma peel, apple blossom and that salty-mineral note.

May 12, 2021 - Oh man, this is a wine that'll make you weak in the knees! Just absolutely classic German Riesling at a really high level. It is drinking so incredibly well, with perfect integration of flavors and balance of fruit/minerals/acid.

There is a beautiful softness that is just starting to round off the jagged corners of youth. This bottle contains an incredible amount of youthful energy, but it is tempered just a touch with age. Flavors are lemon curd, lime, and fresh flowers, with a core of minerality. The fruit evolves as you swirl the wine around your mouth from fresh lemon/lime to orange marmalade and ripe peaches. Characteristic German Riesling petrol is discernible but in no way overpowering and harmonizes with the other flavors rather than awkwardly sticking out like in some lower quality wines. Sweetness is present but perfectly in balance with the acidity. This wine will last a long time, but is so good right now, I see no reason to wait.

August 12, 2016 - Very nice with floral, peach, stones and apple. Medium plus finish and good acidity. Should age another decade.

July 25, 2012 - Mellow, slightly honeyed, mineral, nose with hints of flowers and petrol. Very nice attack, very fresh, good minerality, lively, really interesting, very nicely balanced. Already some complexity.

April 16, 2008 - Wine Cellar Mosel & Alsace (Wine Cellar): (Tasted Blind): light to mid-yellow wine with some SO2. It exhibits an intensely fragrant nose showing ripe and rich fruit typical of the spotless style, particularly honey, blossom, wet slate, lime and white flowers. The palate is delicate and nervous, with a beautiful acidity that provides a cut and bite. The wine is off-dry yet intense, finishing with lime peel, green apple and a wet forest. Highly enjoyable!
