January 13, 2024 - The 2015 Extra Brut Marie Lancelot Grand Cru is a pure Chardonnay from Cramant, opening with instant creaminess alongside sponge cake and chalk, while fresh apple and lemon follow. Fine, smooth mousse underlines the chalkiness here while gentle freshness makes the mouth water. Slenderness and tenderness of flavor suggest the chalky depth, despite the warmth of 2015 that makes this a rather rounded, smooth yet sophisticated proposition.

September 30, 2023 - Complex. Very good. Fruit, pastry, oxidative undertones. It had me miss part of the discussion when i had my first sip. Very engaging. Must buy more.

April 27, 2023 - Small supper at Noizé (Noizé, London): Complex and beguiling nose shows green apple, a little quince jelly, some popcorn and with some air, a touch of acacia flower. Very classy stuff. Palate is long, with mouth puckering acidity and great focus. Chalky and yummy.

July 24, 2022 - Opened, poured a glass, resealed and remainder served 48 hours later. Classic, unmistakeable bdb. Lots of cream and white bread. Really impressive, especially 48 hours later. This is up there with tatty comtes and dom ruinart.
